As I woke up at 10:00pm, I was told by my mother to eat my dinner. And so I went to the kitchen and looked for food. But something went inside my mind that lead me through the sala and watch the TV. Accidentally, I already forgot to eat my dinner because of that instinct, whatever.
The show on the TV was MMK or Maalaala Mo Kaya on ABS- CBN Channel and it's episode was about a mother who was suffering from cancer. I merely watch that episode and when the episode was about to end, something went inside my mind. I thought of putting that one, as my first entry for my first blog.
The story was about a mother named Eloisa, who had a family. She had a son and a husband. She was a very good mother and a good wife but something came and changed her life. When she was in the middle of her pregnancy, she discovered that she had cancer. When she discovered that she had a cancer, she and her husband thought of putting her wife into operations to cure her wife especially the baby inside her womb. But as days pass by, her illness gets worse until she reaches the time that all she eats and all she drinks, will not be consumed by her body. She vomits it and doesn't take any food and she also had bloodstricts or releasing of waste but only blood comes out. Her family and relatives worries about her situation. Her son can't concentrate in studying because of her situation, and so, she told her son to have a diary to write all he feels and all he wants to tell. The following days, when she visited her doctor she found out that her baby will be born unhealthy because of her situation, that made the doctor recommend to Eloisa to take an operation that will help her give the needed nutrients her baby needs. But she doesn't have any money for that operation because she already used her money for her coffin, a space for her burial and all the things that is needed for her burial. Eloisa knows what will happen to her after these days but she doesn't think about this. She only knows that everyday is a special day to her and that every single smile is a special smile to her. Until now she's still on the process of her operations and still looks for donors to help her in her situation.
Before ending this entry I would like to have my own reflection. I was really touched by that episode that made my tears fall especially when Eloisa had her line " Pag kinuha na ako ni Lord and una una kong gagawin ay hihiga ako sa kanlungan niya at sasabihin kong, Lord ako naman i-comfort mo". I realized that life is just a borrowed one, it was given yet borrowed. Our life is a life full of wonders, a book of experiences, and a story of journeys. But after all the adventures waits, an eternal happiness and life in heaven. I also realized that every second, minute, hour, day, and year of my life will be special and will be treasured in my heart. And finally, I want to thank God for giving me a chance to experience a life, a life that is special and once in a lifetime.
